I’m a second-generation storyteller. I grew up listening to my dad tell stories and fell in love with writing and storytelling. After working for an all-female Fortune 500 company as a technical and copywriter, I graduated with honors in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. Soon, God’s redemptive story became the focus of my writing—specifically as He walked beside me through a journey of surviving cancer five times. I have written for ministries, schools and for businesses. I’ve served as an art teacher, an art journalist, a spiritual mentor and as a creator of church and school curriculums. My husband and I are blessed with three grown children and three beautiful grandchildren. You can find me listening to the hopes and dreams of young women, traveling with my adventurous husband, or hiking the foothills of Northern California. I just released my first book, Bend Without Breaking: How Struggles Build a Resilient Faith, which offers strategies for building a strong and resilient faith no matter what you’re going through.
